About

How did I get here?

My name is Josh Kelly. I started training when I was 16, just a small kid trying to get big enough for a post position on the basketball court. From there developed a love I couldn’t control – I coped with anxiety in the gym, developed real self-confidence, and developed a healthy outlet for the stresses in my life.

I lived the classic bodybuilder life – chicken and rice daily, hating my meals, never going out for food and stressing when I did. I would get on and off the wagon time and time again, and I realized that science had come far enough that I SHOULD be able to enjoy the things I love (food and otherwise), and still progress.

At 22 I started training as a powerlifter, and competed at 24 in my first competition. I started studying nutrition, biomechanics, and technique to make myself a better lifter, and in that process developed a passion to help others with their health & fitness.

Why should you care?

I’ve had every injury under the sun. Multiple muscle strains have kept me out of the gym for weeks at a time. I learned by trial and error, but you don’t have to. I’d like to make your fitness journey a lot smoother (and less painful!) than my own.

Let’s talk about recovery, how to progress in safe and sustainable manner, and let’s make you a better athlete than you ever thought you could be.

Above all else, let’s talk about SUSTAINABILITY. I was fitness and well-being to be incorporated into your life – not taking it over. You can and should still be able to have a drink on the weekend with your friends, go out for dinner with your family, and do the things that make your life enjoyable. If a plan won’t work for the rest of your life, it won’t work at all.
